again on 0x80004005 error

from yesterday I get this error on MSN Mess login with my
usr/psw , but:
- With the same usr/psw Hotmail login is OK (then usr/psw
is OK)
- With another usr/psw MSN Mess login is OK (then MSN
Mess, Firewall, ... are all ok)

Can someone help me?

Same problem here with the addition of not being able to
sign into any Net Passport services,chat,hotmail and
messenger. Any help is greatly appreciated Post here of

Same here as well. I have been having this problem on any
computer from multiple locations for a couple of months
now. It appears to be my Hotmail account since I made a
generic AOL account a passport account and I can login
fine. I also have not found a resolution on the internet
yet.

DISABLE UR FIREWALL/S then log into msn messenger and once
ur logged into msn messenger then ENABLE ur firewall/s

Avi? If it was my firewall that I am not running, then why
would one account work and not the other? As I stated, I
have tried with my hotmail account from multiple PC's
behind firewalls, not behind firewalls, Proxies, and NAT
routers. All cannot cannot connect with the hotmail
account but "ALL" can connect with the AOL passport accout
I made. Its not a fiewall in my case.

It is a problem on Microsoft's end. I have sent an e-mail to them and they
have confirmed it. I am just waiting for them to fix the problem. Perhaps
they need to take their server with all the .NET stuff and point it to the
WINDOWS UPDATE WEBSITE to insure they have the latest security updates and
to update the McAfee Antivirus package they have running on it.

I found my problem, it was the cypher setting on the
browser afer a reinstall if IE6, the install was bad and
set the security cypher to 0 instead of 128. the setting
can be found under "About IE" under "help" if it is 0 and
not 128 reinstall IE and it should fix your problem.....I
know it did mine and was able to login to all passprt
based services again, hotmail, messenger and chat
