Hi
I am working with windows xp and msn messenger 6.2
I know that when I go to the control panel, user
accounts, choose my account, and manage network passwords
that I can delete my hotmail address(es). However I just
have a new pc and deleting the addresses is not possible.
I can click it but nothing happens, can somebody tell me
what is going wrong?

thank you very much

j

Greetings Jackie,

Are you using the Dutch version of Windows XP? If you are, what you're seeing is a bug
within the Dutch version and as such, the 'Delete' button will do nothing and you will not be
able to remove these using that method.

As such, you'll need to remove all the passports by simply removing your Credentials file
(all your saved Passports will be removed). To do so, click Start, then Run, type:
%appdata%\microsoft\Credentials
and then click OK.
Then in the folder that appears you'll see another folder with a very long name, right click
this folder, choose Delete, then confirm the operation. You'll then need to reboot to see
the change.

Hi,

Editing your keyring (which is what you're doing here) can be done under any user account.
