I use messenger on a work computer that will not allow me
to install anything on. The old messenger had an option
where I could use messenger online and not install
anything on this system. Does new messenger have that
option?

If I understand what you are asking, you can use webmessenger at
http://webmessenger.msn.com. That is MSN's web based version of Messenger
and you can use it to communicate with messenger contacts without installing
anything. It does not have all of the features of MSN Messenger 7, but it
will let you chat.
