A coworker upgraded to the new live messenger, he said it took away all of
his mapped drives on the network. No one else in the office has the
problem. He says virus/spyware is up to date. He is running XP Pro.
Uninstalling allows him to map drives again but reinstalling makes them
disappear. Any advice?

Greetings MP,

Obviously there's no outstanding bug in Messenger where this is happening, but it might be
triggered by Messenger somehow.

By "disappear" does he mean that the icon is just gone? For instance, what happens if he
just tries navigating to one of the "disappeared" mapped drives by typing it into the address
bar in Explorer?
