Hello all,

I am considering replacing my outdated Winnov VideumAVX (PCI capture card w/
PAL camera) by a USB -2.0- webcam.

I did not find much of those devices, at most 4 models (ADS, Trust, Orange
Micro, Veo), could you recommend a model or links to some
reviews/comparisons?

What do you think of the Trust 380 USB 2.0 SpaceC@m?

I am looking for a model with a good sensibility in low light conditions.

Thank you.

Good choice.

Well, I bought this one :

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=products/details&CRID=4&CONTENTID=7172&countryid=19&languageid=1

and it works on USB 1.1 and USB 2.0

This one has, that's why I bought it.

Hi Lennart,

Thanks for your suggestion. This one looks good indeed but I am not really
interested in the pan and tilt feature so I wonder if the Quickcam Pro 4000
gives the same quality, it also seems to use a CCD 1.3MPix and USB2.

I got the Trust 380, it's awful. It might be fine with a few 1000w
bulbs around you though ;)

Two days later, bought a Logitech Quickcam 4000 Pro, it's excellent.
My room has all sorts of lighting conditions based on time of day and
it copes with every one of them. You can even be seen in a dark room
with just the glow of a 19" monitor...

Thanks a lot Eddie. I will consider the QC 4000 pro.

Probably, don't think there is much difference between them.

My opinion:
Trust 380 usb2: Good: perfomance Poor: image with grain
Creative NX Pro: Good: Nothing, blur image, low frame rate, bad colors, bad
suport
Quickcam Pro 4000: the best of the three. Best image, good perfomance, and
the tracking zoom is very useful
