My prefered internet browser is not Internet Explorer. I have selected my
prefered browser to be the default on my computer, but MSN Messenger still
opens IE when I click on the inbox button. I would like to know how to change
this.

I am currently using MSN Messenger Version 7.0, and Windows XP.

Greetings,

This is by design. Although Messenger will open your default browser for links, Hotmail and
Spaces will open in Internet Explorer due to the security features for Passport.

If you -really- must have this open in another browser, you can obtain Messenger Plus
(http://www.msgplus.net) and StuffPlug-NG (www.stuffplug.com) then once you have it all
installed, click the Plus! menu, then Plugins, then StuffPlug-NG, then Configure, check the
"Open
all links in default browser" option and click OK. However, keep in mind this is sort of a
hack and doesn't work that seamlessly.
