I have a JVC DV camcorder and firewire card and cables
and have been told that I can use this to talk to my
friend who also has the same camera and facilities.

But when we select the camera to broadcast it is all
black.

Can anyone please tell me IF and HOW we can use a digital
camcorder talking on MS MESSENGER 6.

I would be most grateful to a reply to my email address.
A satisfactory answer would be very, very much
appreciated by at least 2 people.

Thank you.

Greetings Steve,

You can -- but only if you and your contact are using Windows XP. Assuming you are, just go
to the Tools menu, then Audio/Video Tuning Wizard to select the camera. Then in a
conversation, click the Actions menu, 'Start Video Conference' option (the 'Webcam'
button/option will *not* make use of DV cameras).
