    - Links in my msn e-mails do not work I am running XP with SP2 installed. This problem just cropped up recently (within the last 4 weeks or so). I can forward the e-mails to my private account and the links work fine.     - Has ANYONE EVER Had a Audio Chat with Messenger 6.2??? If so, I find it VERY hard to believe.... I've tried multiple Windows XP SP2 computers and multiple configurations - from behind uPnP routers, without routers, with software firewalls on and off - and NEVER ONCE have I or the people I have tried to chat with heard a peep. Yet, never a problem with Yahoo Messenger or Skype. (Skype will go through anything...) Just disgusted at how much time I've wasted on this....     - Hotmail and MSN Messenger problems I know I'm properly connected to the internet and there aren't any problems there however everytime I try to log in to my hotmail account an error page shows up saying this page cannot be displayed.     - Error with MSN Messenger PLZ Help !! I tryed installing a beta version of MSN Messenger 7.0 but it did not work, whenever I signed in it would automatically close. So I restarted my computer to see if it would help and it didn't. I went to Add/Remove Programs and removed MSN Messenger 7.0 and tried to use MSN Messenger 6.2. I was now given a message saying "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem". So I uninstalled it and tryed to reinstall it but halfway through the installation it told me I was missing a file called "MsnMsg.Msi" which I can find nowhere.     - MSN 6.2 install problem (error 1603 and 2889) Well, this seems to be a common problem, but nothing anyone has suggested works. Here's a challenge for ya. My MSN v6.2 starting running funny. I would launch it and it would come up and then shut down. So, I uninstalled and attempted a reinstall. Running Win98. When I run the install I get error 1603 then a second pop up for error 2889. I was able to install v4.6, but of course that version does not seem to work anymore...It just prompts me to upgrade which I of course can't do. Help anyone.     - audio issue with msn messenger 6.2 Dear experts, here is my problem: when I press the audio button and the other side accepts, I can hear the other but the other cannot hear my voice.     - Passport Verification emails not appearing We have just completed converting all our users to using our new email address. This involved switching their msn messenger accounts over as well. 90% of these are fine but several people I never get the email verification email for. I keep requesting it and it never appears. I have cleared the address with our ISP to avoid their spam blocker. I have checked everyone of the accounts to make sure the correct email address was used which it is. And I have verified that all the email accounts themselves are working.     - problem with Msn Since this morning (Monday, November 8 in Singapore Time), I'd trouble connecting to my MSN messenger. I am definately sure the password is correct. The problem is, they will be on the "connecting animation" before going back to the "sign in" page without any explanation on why I cannot sign in. Usually, when I have difficulties signing in, MSN provides some sort of information suggesting why the reason that might be preventing me from signing in, but not this time. Making matters worse, I resorted to using my sister's username and password on the same computer and it signed in perfectly well. I have restarted my computer and tried the solutions you provided on your "help" site but ultimately to no avail.     - MSN Freezes Once I log on and can't Fix It This is the problem: For a while, i would click on msn, and it would take a while to load up (my pc is super fast. not worried about meeting req's).     - Can't login MSN and Hotmail Homepage Hi everyone. I need some help over here. A few days ago, I realised that I can't login MSN messenger AND the Hotmail homepage can be displayed on my PC. There was no problem with surfing and downloading from other sites though. Then, I found out that I can access my hotmail account and MSN in the cybercafe. So, I wish someone can tell me what I am facing to? Virus or something? There are only two changes I have done to my PC recently. 1. Under internet options > Security > custom level > 'Enable' downloard signed ActiveX controls. 2. Update Window Media Player to Version 10.0. (Well, Spybot killed some files from it for me. I don't think it does any harm to the accessibility of MSN though.     - windows installer issues Hi, I'm getting some troubles installing the MSN using Win 2k. it keeps giving me the error 1601. I've already seen some topics over furums about this error, and they talked a lot about windows installer problems. And although they had a lot of things to change and to do like: doing in start-run "msiexec /unreg" and then "msiexec /regserver", but it doesn't change anything. They already told me to download from microsofts website the new windows installer version, but when I'm trying to install that new version, it gives me an error "the service specified already exists". They told me to use the windows installer clean up utility also found in the microsoft's page, but it gives me the error: "It wasn't possivel to access the Windows Installer service.This can append if your runing windows in security mode or if it is badly installed." In the "Administration Tools", opening the services, and trying to start "windows installer", it gives the error 5: "The access is denied". But I'm doing this with the Administrator's account. Nothing that I'm aware of, but if it's just randomly started, there's a possibly that
something is being tweaked.
