Msn-messenger starts up with IE

Hi all,

suddenly msn messenger starts up with Internet explorer. Nowhere I can find
what setting has changed, neither in messenger, nor in IE. Can someone tell
me where I can change this back.

In Messenger try [Tools] [Options][General]

Make your choices there

Thanks, Sid9.

The problem is, that I do not have the choice to let MSN-Messenger start
with Internet Explorer or not.

Greetings Erik,

Does your default homepage in Internet Explorer happen to be Hotmail? If so, the Hotmail
site will automatically start Messenger and there really isn't any way to stop this.

Thank you, Jonathan,

I have been messing with my homepage, since I cannot get the one I had
anymore. I am looking for the resolution of this problem. I shall change my
temporary homepage at once.
