Recently I set my mobile number up on the MSN Mobile Web using MSN Messenger
6.1. It worked fine but I decided to remove the mobile settings. I went back
in to the MSN Mobile Web pages and deleted my mobile account. I've also
removed my phone settings (including the mobile number) from the Phone tab
under tools/options in MSN Messenger, and the check box for 'Allow people on
my contacts list to send messages to my mobile device' is now unchecked.
Even though I've done this, people still see my status as a yellow icon with
(Mobile) beside. How do I change it?

Thanks
Mike

Greetings Mike,

Although I haven't tested this recently, in the past, this setting usually took awhile to
propagate to the Messenger contact lists. You may want to give it a few days before the
settings change for everyone.

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your reply. I can't remember the date I changed it, but I'm sure
it was about 10 days or more ago. I don't know if everyone who has me as a
contact sees the mobile icon, but I know of 2 of my contacts that still do
see the mobile icon.

Mike
