MSN Messenger doesn't work, but Yahoo! Messnger does...!

To whom it may concern,

I'm running Windows NT 4 SP6a. I've intslled MSN Messenger 5.0 and
Yahoo! Messenger 5,6,0,1358. MSN Messenger does not work with any
possible connection configuration, while Yahoo! Messenger only needs
to know the compaby's proxy's IP address and which port to use.

I find this extremely puzzling and frustrating; is there any GOOD
reason this might be happening?

Greetings Susana,

Have you set up the proxy configuration in Messenger's Tools menu, Options, Connection tab?

Hi,

MSN Messenger 6.0 is no longer available there, 6.1 is the latest -- and it doesn't work on
NT4, it only installs on Windows 98, Millennium Edition, 2000 or XP.
