Hello.

Weird problem here. Whenver I load up MSN Messenger, XP
changes desktop colour depth to LOW (8-Bit). When I exit
and close MSN Messenger, it changes it back to my default
Highest (32-Bit)..

Any idea why it does this?

Hi Lance,

You do realize that posting this has no value at all; 99% of the time in order to this group,
you have to do so after bypassing the contact MSN link.

Greetings,

It sounds like compatibility mode may have been engaged on Messenger. To check for this,
click Start, then Run, type "%programfiles%\msn messenger" and click OK.

Right-click "msnmsgr" and click Properties. Then click the Compatibility tab and see if any
options under Display settings have been set. If they have, uncheck them and click OK.
