Both computers have WindowsXP with SP2. Both running 7.5 downloaded the
same day.
Both using Norton Anti-Virus. One uses Earthlink high speed, the other
uses a wireless router Broadband access. Other computer can hear my
voice clear as a bell. Their voice comes back low and very slow....
like you're talking in slow motion. HOWEVER, WHEN WE SWITCHED OVER
AND DID VOICE THROUGH A REMOTE ASSIST.....WE BOTH CAN HEAR EACH OTHER
JUST FINE. Anyone have the slightest idea what's going on with that???
The other person is the one that requested a remote assist, and I didnt
take control of their computer......just saw their screen. So,
please......anyone out there have a CLUE why we cant talk just using
7.5 ???? Thanks.

Greetings Lee,

Remote Assistance voice functionality is actually completely different from Messenger's.

You and your contact might try turning off the QoS Packet Scheduler. To do so, click Start,
then click the Control Panel. If you're in category view click Network and Internet
connections then click Network Connections. Right click your network/internet connection,
then click Properties. Uncheck the QoS Packet Scheduler, then reboot and try again.
