With MSN Messenger Version 7.0.0813 installed on Windows XP SP2 is there any
way to disable the "Your connection with the .NET Messenger service has been
lost. Reconnecting in xx:xx" from occuring?
Since I use a dial-up connection and log on for brief periods of time to
check for e-mail, with prior versions I'm automatically signed in within
seconds of connecting. Since installing 7.0.0813, the time can build to over
15 minutes before sign in occurs ... nothing 'automatic' about that feature.
In options, the "Automatically run Messenger when I log on to Windows" and
"Allow automatic sign in when connected to the Internet" are checked.
After uninstalling 7.0.0813 and reinstalling 6.2.0205, sign in occurs
instantaneously upon establishing a connection.
