I have looked everywhere and found no conclusive answers. Maybe one of you
can shed some light on this.

I have a Logitech QuickCam Express on an XP MSN 6.0 environment. The camera
works fine on netMeeting or on Movie Maker. The "Scanners and Cameras"
control panel applet also works fine... (it shows a live picture)

The problem is with MSN, when I use the "Audio and Tunning Wizard" and
choose the camera from the list a message appears stating that the camera I
selected is not working properly...

On other newsgroups and on Logitech site they mentioned problems if using
the Via chip (USB) and recommend an upgrade. I have done this with no
success.

My question is about the reasons the camera works fine with this other
software's except MSN Messenger in the same PC!!!???

Is there any incompatibility?

Thanks

LC

Note: I didn't install any drivers from Logitech... I am using the plain XP
drivers.

Greetings Luis,

There was a QuickCam Express driver (which may have ended up in your XP install) which caused
this problem awhile ago. You may want to check WindowsUpdate:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
After scanning, check out the 'Drivers' section.

As well, the latest QuickCam Express driver from Logitech should fix this as well:
