Hey!

Over a month ago MSN messenger stopped allowing me to log
into my account, and an error message "Error Code:
0x81000370" would keep coming up. MSN Hotmail was
accessible at the time, but as soon as I attempted to
sign in, an "Error: Page Cannot Be Displayed" page would
come up.

It wouldn't allow any users to log onto MSN Messenger or
Hotmail, although hotmail worked through the Outlook
Express client. I also tried changing my password several
times, although this didn't help.

It is not a network problem as MSN Messenger and Hotmail
both work on a computer running on the same network
connection.

So I took the fatal step of removing MSN Messenger from
my computer, and deleting all it's directories. Now
whenever I try to install MSN Messenger an "Error Code:
1601" appears and will not let me to continue with the
installation process.

I have tried the 'regsvr32
softpub.dll', 'sfc /scannow', '%appdata%
\Microsoft', 'msiexec /unreg' and 'regedit' and many
other attempts to fix the problem, but nothing seems to
work.

It is becoming frustrating, so help would be much-
appreciated thanks!!
