Hi there, I know this is a messenger forum, but hoping you can point me in
the right direction...............see my post from 25th Jan entitled
"HELP"............I'm still getting this error on page message on hotmail, I
have looked around various forums and it seems I am not the only one with
this problem...............I know I can download hotmail thru outlook
express, but would prefer not to if I can avoid it. Do you know if it's a
bug in hotmail at all, and will it eventually put itself right? It's very
annoying as I use it as my main mail address......heres hoping you can help,
many thanks in advance,

i'm sure its got to do this ur version of INTERNET
EXPLORER. click on "HELP" then "ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER"
then next to "UPDATES VERSIONS" it should say "SP1".
if it doesn't then go here and download the SP1 update:
http://tinyurl.com/3drq

after u d/l it stay connected to the net. then open setup
and do a TYPICAL INSTALLATION.

if that doesn't work try this:

In Internet explorer click on "TOOLS", "INTERNET OPTIONS"
then "ADVANCED" then "UNTICK" ALL the boxes under the
catagory "MICROSOFT VM" then click "OK"

(but make sure u have internet explorer 6 Sp1)

Thanks for the response, much appreciated, I do have
service pack 1 and keep everything up to date with
windows update.....tried unticking the options you
mentioned in advanced settings, that doesn't work!!!!!
Think I will have to say goodbye to hotmail and use
something more reliable!!!
