Had same problem after Windows Update for NVIDIA.

Just restore back to checkpoint before Windows Update
if you are on XP. Problem goes away.

I actually have a lab machine and I am going to buy a new
video card with an nVidia chipset. We'd like to test this
issue out with our machine and I would be greatful if
you'll be kind enough to tell us what brand and model of
video card you are using? What is the exact version of the
nVidia driver you installed? The exact URL where you
downloaded the driver?

Hi

I have an NVIDIA RIVA TNT 2 MODEL 64

Last driver version that WORKS is 4.5.2.3

If you scan for updates on Windows Update at moment
and check supported hardware on NVIDIA driver update
you get a long list of NVIDIA cards including the RIVA
TNT 2 MODEL 64. If you go ahead you get the GREEN MAN
problem.

The problem driver update is dated October 6, 2003.

Hope this helps.

Regards

I too had the same problem. I just now did a Video Driver "Rollback" and
everything is back to normal. As stated previous, the newest driver out is
causing the problem, rolled it back to version 4.5.2.3 and it works like a
charm.
