I could not find a proper location to post this question, so I am posting it
here because it appears to be the closest to what I need to ask.

My dad just got a MSN hotmail account; however, he had the spam block on and
most of his e-mails went to the junk box which deleted all his messages
today. IS there anyway to recover messages once they have been dumped from
the Junk Mail box? Please help, he had a ton of improtant info in those
e-mails.

Greetings Jeremy,

I'm afraid not; after clearing the Junk Mail, the mail is gone.

Hi,

The e-mail has been erased, it's gone; no setting is going to bring it back.

Unless if you break into wherever Microsoft keep the server, steal the hard
drive it was stored on, then there is a tiny chance oyu might be able to
restore it.

But probably not worth the likely hood of jail.

Just as all junk filters you need to check your junk email before the five
days when they are deleted. If you see any safe mail in there, then check
the box and click on the "Not Junk" button. This will prompt you to add the
address to your email safe list. Also check to make sure you have not
blocked the email address by mistake.

The only thing I will add here is this.. Sometimes, clicking the Not Junk
option doesn't work properly (as the next or future e-mail may go to the
junk folder). You can skip a step, and make sure it's routed to your
safelist, by right clicking on the e-mail address or senders name, and
choosing "Add to safe list".

Hope this helps.
Patrick.
