Help! I can't view ppls profiles!

When I try to look at peoples profiles a new window opens
but it tries to open it to AOL which I am no longer on, i
have to click close and can not see the profile. this is
the only time AOL tries to run. I thought I had deleted
it completely from my PC. Does anyone know another way to
view profiles or how to fix my prob?

If you prefer not to have AIM integrated into Outlook
Express, go to the Sign On/Off preferences category in AIM
and disable the "Make AIM my default instant messaging
program" option. Restart your computer if the change is
not taking effect after exiting AIM and restarting Outlook
Express.



goto sign on/off area
and it is the bottom check box
"Make AIM my default instant messaging program"





Remove AIM from the Personal Bookmark folder.
Delete launch.aim from every user profile.

In "...Communicator\Program\Aim", delete the "AIM" folder
and the subfolder "sounds" and all contents.
Click START, RUN, then type "regedit" (without quotes)

Edit | Find - type AIM. Remove all references. Edit |
Find - type in AOL. Remove all references to AIM only.
Restart your computer.
