I have the latest version of messenger installed on my
system. However, I utilize a third party app. to connect
(Trillian Pro v1.0). Ever morning when I log in, I get a
chat message from MSN Messenger to upgrade to the latest
version ... but, as I've mentioned already, I already have.

How do I get this message to stop appearing every morning?

Greetings db,

This message is being sent to anyone logging into the .NET Messenger network whom is not
using Windows Messenger 4.7.2005 (or higher) or MSN Messenger 5 (or higher). These versions
(among other things) use a new authentication scheme to logon. Since you're not using either
of these clients, you're seeing the message.

Cerulean Studios (Trillian's author) is supposed to be updating the Trillian product line
shortly and you'll just need to upgrade to that. In the meantime, you'll need to "put up"
with the message.
