I have a similar problem, but this solution with the
msiexec doesnt work. I try installing MSN 6.1, and a
dialog box stating an error code 2889 pops up, sstops the
installation, and then once I click finish (although
nothing is installed) it says error code 1603 download
software from website... I've tried all I know, but
nothing works... please give me some advice, or email me
back... thanks...

>To correct, do the following --
>If you're using Windows 2000 or XP, click Start, then
Run, and type the following:
>%systemroot%\system32\dllcache\msiexec.exe /regserver
>then click OK.

>If you're using Windows 98 or ME, click Start, then Run,
and type the following:
>C:\Windows\System\msiexec.exe /regserver
>then click OK.
>(You will need to change the C:\ to whichever drive
Windows is on).
