Greetings Adnan,

You'll find the files here on Vista:
\Users\username\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Messenger\LiveID\ObjectStore\CustomEmoticons

Where username is your Windows username and LiveID is your Windows Live ID e-mail address.

Additionally, some of these folders will be hidden by default, to see them simply press the
Alt key on the keyboard in any Windows Explorer window to bring up the toolbar, click Tools,
then Folder Options, then the View tab, and then choose 'Show hidden files and folders'.
After click OK, they should appear with the other folders.

You can then just backup this folder elsewhere and then copy them back to restore.
Additionally, you may want to backup the other folders in the ObjectStore, like Winks.

Keep in mind however that these emoticons are locked to that particular Windows Live ID, you
can't just start copying them to other IDs without further third-party tools.
