Because of 150 emails sent through messenger to me with=20
viruses, i decided to change my email address in=20
messenger. Having gone through the process i have come=20
accrossed a problem, i am unable to verify my email=20
address. Every time i open up messenger i get the=20
regulation prompt reminding me i need to verify the email=20
address, every time i try i get "Microsoft=AE .NET Passport=20
was temporarily unable to complete your request. Please=20
try again later." it's been a while now and i'm getting a=20
little upset at having (email address not verified) after=20
the name. Is there a time lag between changing and=20
verifying. Can i have me back please.

Uh, first off, if you're using good antivirus, it shouldn't be an issue.
Secondly, if you're using hotmail, you can always turn on the spam filter
to exclusive, which should prevent those from being delivered into your
Inbox.

Greetings Dennis,

The prompt actually does nothing (neither does the option within MSN Messenger 6). If you
haven't received the verification e-mail with the verification link within 48-hours (yes
sometimes their can be a delay), you can request another one from Passport Services here:
