    - MSN VOICE Probs ATTN: Jonathan. I never had the problem many have/had in signing on 6.1 even the latest " forced" version. I do still have problem with voice, I always had: I cannot hear my contacts, they can hear me; video and other features working fine. I'm using XP pro; thought it was my sound card problem but wasn't: Net Meeting and Yahoo work fine. I have been using and still use 6.0 on W98 and W2000 with no probs at all.; even with the 3rd party firewalls on ( Norton in these cases).On XP I use MacAfee firewall, but even disabling it and even uninstalling it completely, MSN Messenger voice doesn't work; I found an old 5.0; doesn't work either. Actually using this last got some better results: my contacts voice ,or better a sound like the carrier of a voice comm. comes up for a few seconds, then fades out. Used "Shields Up" to find any port left closed behind by my firewall; none is. Getting crazy with this and would like even if not solve at least understand a little more.     - web cam dont work video conference does In msn messenger (latest version i.e. forced upgrade) I am not able to use my webcam simply by clicking the webcam button. Instead, I have found that it only works when starting a video conversation/ conference? with the other person. If the other person simply uses the webcam button I can see them fine, it just doesnt work for my end.     - Games and MSN6.1 WinXP Home, MSN 6.1 Clean install of XP today. Have been to the macromedia site and installed Flash and Shockwave. I've no firewall problems.     - sign in tweak I know that there is a registry tweak that makes the system such that when you go to sign-in to MSN Messenger, the previous user IDs NEVER show up in a drop-down list.     - Conversation connections...once signed in i have an identical situation to this ben nichols...Linksys router as well...but my account(s) and my account(s) only on this computer and none of my other computers has this problem. (i sign out immediatly after signing in) i can occasionaly acces my contact list, but then i get the errors that "[Name] is having network problems and is no longer in the conversation.     - MSN 6.1 Login Problems I am connected through a Linksys router and I have disabled my firewall. I had no problems with MSN Messenger before I updated, my router doesn't inhibit any connections as far as I know. Every time I log in, it waits for a second, then disconnects again.     - my web cam don''t send image Hi, I get problems of conection with my web cam, when I want use it, and call it with Camara Web buttom, it pup up the next window but I can't see the image from my web cam. at the time of bring up the camera conection only display the image in grey color.     - Causing internet apps to not respond I have recently installed ver 6.1 on my win98SE machine, and everytime I try to log in, messenger not only can't connect, but stops all internet applications from functioning until messenger is fully shut down. The machine is fully updated (through windows update) and even if I uninstall and reload one of the older versions, the problem still occurs.     - audio won't work at same time with video It appears that the MSN Messenger servers cannot handle both audio and video streaming between two chatters. I have MSN Messenger 6.1, with XP Home Edition and all the critical updates and so does my chat partner. Both of us are connected via cable broadband service, but whenever we try to add audio to our existing video chat, the Audio invites get accepted and a "connection" is established but no audio comes through on either side, and within a minute the audio connection is disconnected by MSN Messenger automatically. If you're using an older beta of the MSN9 browser, this is a bug in the browser...you need to upgrade to the latest beta, or wait a couple of weeks for the final release.
