Thx

Start ==> Run
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
%windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
OK
and that's it :)

Hi Splash - Thanks for the reply

I'm OK through Run ---- Rundll32. advpack.dll

After that neither my comp nor I know what to enter next. Don't know what
to do with the commas.

Thx
Dave

Greetings Dave,

What you need to run is this:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK.
Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions and screenshots, go to,

OK Jonathan - that got it. Turns out you need some judicious spaces between
some of the characters.
Thx much

Dave

Hi Dave,

Yep. There isn't much you can change of the string before it will break.
