    - Firewall problems messing up my MSN? Everytime I seem to talk to my mate with msn and my Norton Personal Firewall plus Windows Firewall turned on, she doesn't seem to get all the messages I send to her.     - frozen messenger 7.5 I have had no problems with msn up until 3 days ago. Everytime I log on, it shows that it is open but the main window freezes with the logging in image and I cannot click on anything. It wont even let me close it, by both clicking on the x or right clicking on the icon below. I have to go to the task manager and end the application and tryt o restart it. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it does the same thing.     - MSN Messenger Ghost My roommate and I both use MSN Messenger 7.0. We both have separate log-ins on my computer. He's on my contact list and I notice that, whenever my computer is turned on, Messenger contantly logs him on and off, throughout the day, even though he's not on a computer anywhere. His status instantly goes to "(away)" when this happens. And his personal picture is not displayed when this happens either. When he truly signs on, his picture shows up. This has to be some sort of bug on my computer since, whenever it's turned off, this problem doesn't occur. He tried uninstalling messenger and reinstalling it using different information, but the problem persists. This problem has not happened for me on Messenger. Just him. I'm looking for the solution for him and so that I don't have to contantly see that he is "signing in" throughout the day. (His other contacts see this happen too.) Any ideas?     - NetMeeting within Messenger I did a rough and ruddy search in this group and didn't see an answer. I am trying to connect through netmeeting (within MSN Messenger 7.0) with a friend.     - Error 1635 Jonathan Please Help I posted this Question recently and still cant get an answer to the real problem. When I try to uninstall MSN 7.5 from Add Remove, I get This Patch Cannot be Removed etc. When I try to overwrite it I get Error 1635 box come up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled MSN many times before with no problems, this problem seems to have appeared since I was recently Flagged to update to a new build although I already had Build 0311? After the latest Windows updates I no longer can log into MSN 7.5. Before that - no problem. Typing the user info and password the actual display of the login is veeerryyy slooooww.     - Messenger Freezes I am getting quite frustrated with MSN messenger on my computer freezing as soon as I start it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, making sure I got rid of windows messenger, looking at my firewall and antivirus setting, but it keeps freezing. It will do it for a random period of time, ie. 3 weeks, then will suddenly work again. I have no problem using other IM programs, but really want to get back to using MSN.     - Get data in MSNOBJ? Dear group, I am trying to create a simple MSN client. Since MSNP6 the MSN protocol makes use of msnobj's which contain for example other users tiles. My question is where to get the contents of these files? I get the data like this; <msnobj Creator="..." .... Location="TRF50.dat" ....> and I also know that once I have this file I can simply rename it from .dat to .jpg or .png in order to view it, but I don't know where to get this file from in the first place.     - can't type double o's in beta messenger It would appear that when I type oo's in the beta messenger, it's double something else and I don't know how to disable it. This didn't happen in version 7.5. Does anyone know where I can disable this function. There was a time ... and I only had it activated for about 5 minutes, where ... if I typed two o's together, it would give two animated eyes. But I ditched that probably a year ago.     - Slow sign in... Hi, I have recently rebuilt my machine from scratch after a hardware fail, but now experience intermittent slow sign in to MSN messenger (7.5.0322). It just freezes for up to a minute. It always occurs the first time I log in, but most of the time if I disconnect and reconnect it connects straight away!     - Profile viewing Whenever I try to view someone's profile now a a page loads that says MSN profile, and displays a small icon of a shilohet of a person and their display name, and a link that says subscribe to this live contact.     - My webcam refuses to open in a video conference (even with settings OK) Hello,when trying to have a video conversation my webcam will not open,but my contact's webcam shows no problem,then I do the Audio and Video wizard,and it shows that my webcam is available and working,but if ,in the menu,I open my Webcam Settings ,it says: "You can not change your camera settings because either,your camera is not plugged in your computer,or you are using it in a video conversation or another program" ,and every setting is greyed out.     - Display name question I recently noticed that an old chat buddy's display name had changed from her name to her email address. Prior to this, she hadn't appeared online for nearly two months--very unusual for her. (And no, I don't think I was blocked, as I never initiate conversations--I leave that to her.)     - Webcam locked I'm having a Creative Notebook webcam that is always locked by MSN 7.5 after first use. By locked i mean it cannot be used in any programs (including MSN itself) after first time of usage. Restarting MSN does release the lock.     - Start Up Ive been expierencing a minor problem upon start up with messenger recently. Messenger automatically starts and if I have a message it does indicate that this is email. However, when I click on that indication, I get a message saying the service is unavailable and then shutdowns. A minute or two later, it signs itself back in again and tells me its available.     - hyperlinks what are the chances of adding hyperlinks to messenger names/personal messages. i get sick of either having to type in a link someone has suggested, or initiating a conversation with them just to be able to copy/paste the site in. Hi, do I have to buy a new computer to get on line with M$ messenger, I have jumped through all the hoops, done all the 'regedit stuff' installed/uninstalled new messenger/old messenger.     - Locked out of Messenger with a passport account I use a passport account to access MSN...For the last few days....I get a prob with a passport account error every time I sign in..error 81000303. If I hit ok...I get a msg on the passport website, "too many sign in attempts", lock-out message and it will not let me sign in no matter how long I wait...I have waited more than 24hrs. Greetings,

For static images at 19x19 use PNGs for custom emoticons. For larger emoticons up to
100x100, use GIF.

There's UI for these emoticons by clicking the Tools menu, then My Emoticons.

You could use a program called 'Active GIF Creator' to create GIFs. My word,
its a great program. You could also use Adobe ImageReady.
