Greetings Erin,
This can happen if the relationship between you and him is not properly established anymore.
To correct, delete him off your contact list, then have him delete you off his list. Then go
into the Tools menu, then Options, then Privacy category, right-click him and choose Delete
(if he hasn't removed you yet, it will appear as grayed out). After he's been removed from
your Privacy category, go back and readd him. This will essentially "re-establish" the
relationship between you and your contact in the
database.
