Check Updates

Hi,
is it possible to please add into future versions of MSN Messenger a
very useful menu item to Check Updates of the program?
Actually, MSN Messenger doesn't always inform users when a new version
is available.

Greetings D@ny,

Protocol why, the version is checked on every login; I don't think the option is really that
necessary to be on a menu to be honest.

I don't know why, I never have been alerted by MSN Messenger about new
versions :(
I must go to the website and download the exe.

Do you mean MSN Messenger updates itself automatically?

You're right.
I uninstalled and reinstalled an old version of Messenger and I received
the update notification in the system tray.
Maybe my firewall blocked it.
