Can't send .jpg - Can receive

Installed 7 last evening and a friend in Arizona did also.
I am on XP SP2 he is STILL on 98.

He can successfully transfer a .jpg file to me but I can
not transfer to him.
We are both running the final release .0777 build.

[Name] has tryed to send a file ([JPG FILE]).
This transfer has been blocker because the content of
this file could be not secure

I know this is being discussed with other extensions.
I just don't understand why it works one way and not the
other.
Is there a setting somewhere in Messenger or XP that I
need to change?

Are you using a software based firewall? (Norton Personal Firewall,
ZoneAlarm...) A router (which has a firewall)? If so, for either what make,
model, version?

I have a Belkin F5D7230-4
I tried turning it off... no change. Still could not
send. The only other Firewall is the one built into XP
SP2.
Where can I get this patch that Licantrop0 mentioned?

Wow, a Microsoft phone. Had one and never got it to work

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this.
Still no luck send a .jpg after running that patch. The
message has changed but still can't send.
Not sure what to do from here.
