Cannot install Live Messenger on VISTA SP1

Hi,

I need some help because i've Vista Ultimate SP1 and when I try to
install Live Messenger with windows live installer i get a messafe
"sorry, we couldn't install these programs." then a list of the
options I selected is displayed as not installed.
Then a message below saying
"To try to fix the problem, click 'try again later' and we'll add..."


I keep trying and nothing....


Please help me.

Hi, I have the same problem but mine is just plain vista. I have tried
installing the live msn messenger but it won't let me saying it is not a
verified win32 application so it won't install it. I have tried downloading
it from windows live messenger website and the microsoft website but none
will let me install it on my computer. I had a previous version installed and
I deleted it because it would always freeze and shut down when I tried to
make a phone call or use the webcam. Anyway, I tried downloading the link
they sent you and that was not working either said there was a problem with
the site.
We are military and this is the only way to be able to contact family while
deployed overseas. Please help us solve this problem. Thanks.

YOU SAVED ME! i am ready to dump VISTA. windows 95 was better than this!
it kept saying it was downloaded but would not open and would send me back to
the download page. thanks for this link! now i can chat with my military
hubby too!
