Since updating the new messenger 7 I have been unable to
recieve any files from friends, this is what appears when
they try sending files..This file
has been blocked because it is potentially unsafe.Any
ideas on how to fix this problem?

Please make sure your running MSN Messenger 7.0.0813 available from
http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/d/9/5d9bb5b2-49c7-4890-94ab-d1d5e44a0e6d/Install_MSN_Messenger.exe...
some of the blocking mechanism have been removed from this build. If they
still can't send the files please use File Sharing available in the
Activities menu.

Greetings Zany,

This is a new "security" feature in MSN Messenger 7. Assuming you're using Windows XP SP2,
you can restore the functionality by downloading and running the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/extfix.reg
You'll need to restart Messenger to see the change.
