    - WLM Getting Frozen Intermitentenly WLM Getting Frozen Intermittently I am Experiencing problems with WLM, ever since I upgrade It to version 8.X, in my laptop I have 8.0 and on my desktop I have 8.5.1302, and in both I am experiencing the same problem which is it gets frozen. All of the sudden, does not matter if you are streaming video o no. it gets frozen does not allow me to do anything and then unfroze itself within a minute or two. I was wondering if there is a fix for this? Also my wifeâ??s PC is having the same issues. This was not happening with 7.5 Rommel J.     - Messenger within the office Hi, I'm responsible withing our business for monitoring and enforcing the internet usage policy. We would love our users to be able to use MSN Messenger to communicate with other parts of the business, share files, conference etc but how do we enforce a fair and proper usage policy?     - msn in vista cannot get online hi... i just bought a laptop with windows vista. whenever i log on to msn, my whole laptop will instantly go offline. so the msn will log off. and when my laptop tries to connect with wireless again, msn log on. but wait a while, it will go offline again. and the cycle continues. can i anyone tell me what should i do??     - CANNOT RECEIVE INCOMING MESSAGES I use my @mac.com e-mail address to sign into MSN Messenger. It has been working fine for a long time but for the past few days, nobody on my contact list can initiate a conversation with me and all are unable to send me any messages. They all tell me that they get a message that says "The following message could not be delivered." However, I am able to send messages to my contacts. I know that this is NOT a problem with my Internet connection, as I have to tried logging in from various computers and at friends' houses. Only my account seems to be affected. It is so frustrating.     - Live photo gallery Not sure where to post this but since it's downloaded with messenger thought I might ask here... I've just installed windows live photo gallery as part of the upgrade to messenger that popped up today, I've added my main pictures directy to the program. When I view the pictures via the directory listing (at the top of the left panel) everything displays correctly, in directory order. When I select the date ordered listing (again from the left panel), the pictures are displayed but some are duplicated (one was even triplicated). I've checked that my pictures directory wasn't included in the original install and I've 're-added' it (which wouldn't account for the selective duplicates though), I've removed the directory and re-added to completely and I get the same problem. The duplicate pictures are the exact same picture listed twice, there are no duplicates on my hard drive. When I view the pictures via the slideshow (clicking forward or back manually) it still show the picture twice and thus requires two clicks to advance to the next picture.     - limiting messenger to a closed group How can I limit messenger so it only allows chats between people on the same e-mail domain. For example, anyone with an email address ending in @newskills.org can chat to anyone else with an email address ending in @newskills.org but can't chat with anyone else. This also needs to be done in such a way that the users cant reset it. These users are spread out over the internet, they are not on one LAN and do not share a common server.     - Vista Home premium and Windows LIve messenger I have tried my best for last 1 week but MSN live messenger does not work on my vista. I mean doesnot go ONLINE. I even tried 7.5 but it asks for an upgrade. I am really stuck. I have a DSL connection, Netgear 8234 Router version 2. I get this error Error Code: 81000306. I tried working through disabling firewall but still no luck. Do you have any solution for that. I would really appreciate this.     - passport/live ID problem When Itry to create a .net passport/live ID account for a friend using his existing email account it keeps giving an error for the email address. His address after the @ is the problem. It is @orange.fr, but if I try a different ISP, say @free.fr, it moves on to the next step OK.     - Live Messenger hangs when browsing for new display picture I've got Live Messenger v8.1 (maybe it's the most recent version...I dunno, cause get.live.com doesn't actually say what the latest version is) . Recently, I tried changing my display picture (which I've done many times before with no problems), but now, as soon as I click the Browse button, Messenger hangs to the point of needing a process kill (clicking anywhere in the Messenger windows leads to a Win chime, it's completely unresponsive even to the point of not giving a menu on the Taskbar when right-clicked). Anyone experience this error, and if so, is there a way to make it go away short of going back to Windows Messenger? Messenger's the only Live app I'll install (the toolbar was so unstable, I just don't trust software from that division any more, and this issue isn't helping), but consistant app hangs are something I can't tolerate.     - Mobile Device I have one contact in MSN that has a mobile device contact next to it, however there's no number attached to it. I have tried to add a number, then remove it, I've tried to change the country code etc but nothing allows me to reset it and no mobile device option for that user.     - Msn Messenger 8.5 Application Hangs Hi just need some guidance on an small issue. I am currently using msn messenger live 8.5.1302.1018. The issue I'm having is in regards to one particular contact on my list. As of recent everytime i go to engage an IM with that contact it cause my msn to hang. The only option left is to ctrl-alt-del to manually shut down the program. When I restart msn again it works with no issues I can IM anyone either online or offline with msn except with this one contact. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling messenger live but with no results. I have a notebook with messenger 8.1 installed and I do not have this issue with this contact. I was wondering if someone can provide some assistance on this matter as it is extremely annoying not being able to IM this contact for example as this person is someone I contact on a frequent basis.     - messenger doesn't work on a PC with office-LAN Hi all, I used msn messenger 7.0 on a PC with Windows 2000 professional working in a LAN of a big company. Now they changed my PC and, even if the windows is the same, messenger doesn't work when I re-installed it.     - WLM 8.1 would not start I have Window Live Messenger v.8.1 installed on my WinXP machine. Sometimes it could be started, the other times it won't start... Clicking on its icon produces an hourglass for a brief moment, but nothing else happens. In checking the processes running, I see the msnmsgr.exe running as many times as I clicked on the icon. I was told that it's a connection problem. Resetting a router solves the problem, but soon the problem comes back. May someone help me to solve this problem?     - Windows Live Messenger Webcam I have a Microsoft NX-3000 webcam on a laptop with Vista Premium. Webcam works fine locally. I installed Windows Live Messenger. I can exchange instant messages with my son who is using Yahoo on an XP Home SP2 system, but I can't show him my webcam. In Windows Live Messenger, when I try to use ACTIONS/VIDEO/SHOW YOUR WEBCAM I get a message saying None of your contacts are available to receive your webcam. So there are contacts that I have deleted from my Contact List, but they still show up on my Allow List under privacy settings. How do I delete these entries?     - Windows Firewall Client and Vista I have an issue whereby I log onto my local PC, and then use the Windows Firewall Client (ISA Client) to connect to my domain. This works fine in XP but had a compatibility issue with Vista. I downloaded the latest client for Vista, which does recognise the connection, but as soon as I try and log into messenger, the ISA Client has a problem and does not connect.     - MSN Live Messenger logging in and out all the time Got a new computer in January installed with Vista. Since I got it, my MSN login keeps sending out "I'm online - sending "Tanny" is online" to my contacts about 50 times a day. No matter the client or the machine, my status isn't updated and all my contacts see me as offline. I can talk normaly to my contacts but them see me as off-line. From the (WLM8.5.1302.1018) msnmgr.txt log i have found this "warnings" fired every time i change my status in the client. I just checked some threads and other people are having the same problem.
People with AOL accounts on Windows Messenger suddenly couldnt log in anymore.
Does anyone have this same problem or know how to fix it???
