    - one sised audio problem Hi there, I am having a problem with one of my 2 contacts. We can BOTH connect to other people and have 2 way audio conversations perfectly but when we connect with each other I can only hear them, they cannot hear me although my mic is working fine. I was running a D-Link router/firewall and thought that was the problem so I removed it and am now running the latest Zonealarm. Still no luck, so I shut off Zonealarm briefly to try and still no luck so to me it seems it is not a firewall problem. We are both running 6.2. Any help would be appreciated. Tag: Blocked Tag: 55544

    - quick question ... interesting suggestion Is there a place to log suggestions? Other parents/friends I speak with wrestle with the same problem. Instant messenger is addictive. There has got to be a way to control access to it, but also let them leave their away message. Maybe the answer is that one does not actually log off the PC, but the parent can control when they can use it ... and when messages contine to pop at them.     - Solution to audio problems with SP2 I've posted a few times in the past month that I was having bandwidth problems while doing audio chat after the SP2 upgrade. I few others have mentioned the same thing, it appears that the problems occur with people who have dsl using PPPOE connection. The solution is to completly uninstall QOS. By simply not checking the QOS box in the adapter properties is not enough, it needs to be uninstalled. After uninstalling it, everything is back to normal (pre SP2). Tag: Blocked Tag: 55535

    - MSN Games Unavailable Every time i try to play a game with someone with MSN Messenger 6.2 It says the game is unavailable and i should try later.     - Best router for UPnP, SIP and firewall? I've been a customer of netgear for the last couple of years. Their products all seem pretty reliable, and work in most cases; however I'm running into problems with MSN Messenger & SIP. I think it is about time to buy a new home broadband NAT router (for cable modem) to get support for * SIP * MSN Messenger (Video, File transfer) - UPnP * IPSec passthrough Can anyone suggest a reliable router that will work with all of the above? I'd also really like to get hold of a router that can allow me to prioritise VoIP & Video traffic above other traffic on the upstream direction. I've not seen any of these on the market yet (other than some 3rd party firmware for a linksys router).     - MSN webcam problems hello, i am running windows XP proffesional with a D-Link router. My problem is when i come to use my webcam with my contacts. Generaly its fine using jsut one webcam with a person, but when it comes to using my webcam and my contacts webcam (so i can view them), the connection on my router crashes and i have to reset it. Now i want to kno why it works with some people and not others? i also cannot receive or send files through MSN.     - Creative Webcam Hello. I have a Creative Webcam. It works in it's own program but it will not work on MSN Messenger. MSN recognizes the webcam, but if I try to use it, the webcam screen goes black and the connection is terminated between myself and whoever I am trying to webcam with.     - MSN 6.2 audio issue Greetings. Whenever I use MSN Messenger for an audio conversation I cannot hear the audio of the person on the other end. They can hear me. QOS Packet scheduler is turned off. I am running XP w/ msn messenger 6.2.0137. I can see the bars on msn messenger going up and down indicating it is recieving input from my microphone. I have tried realtunnel by paradial to no effect. I am not behind a router. My pc is connected directly to the cable modem. The only firewall I am running is the built-in internet connection firewall. I have turned this off to no effect.     - Chat error in msg 6.2 A couple of days ago Messenger was running fine then it started taking longer than usual to send messages to friends. Instead of instantaneously sending text the windows freeze for about 3-4 seconds before sending making it impossible to click on any other messenger windows and hard to carry on numerous conversations. It seems to work like i have a slow connection and computer which isn't the case. To try to fix i have removed all the files and re- installed messenger and even ran anti-virus.     - Windows XP SP2 and MSN Messenger 6.2 I have just installed SP2 and found the MSN Messenger 6.2 video conferences became jerky. I found that uninstalling QoS resolved the problem. Any danger in doing that uninstall and can it be reinstalled without using Restore? Eventually, we downloaded Windows Messenger v5.0 on the XP system, and tweaked its DisableNM setting in the registry. it a msn server issue. its been like that for about 2
month now. msn are not doing anything about it
