    - MSN has encountered an error. I downloaded MSN 7.5 and when I try to sign in, it says MSN has encountered a problem and needs to close. The same thing happened with MSN 7.0.     - msn messenger ...passwords OK well see if I can explain this. Some one was on my daughters msn account today ....no doubt a little friend of hers. They used my daughters password to access the account and changed the password and the secret account information. Also my daughter Nicole did not provide an alternate address. We would like to know how we could over ride this action. If you keep logs of peoples movements on the msn messenger ....then you will see that the account nicole_well20032hotmail.com was indeed modifed today. and not by nicole.     - Cannot surf internet I have a new machine running Windows 2000 Pro. After reinstalling MSN 9 I can get my mail but cannot surf the web. I was told by MSN Support that as soon as I got online, I needed to update my Messenger. When I try to do this, it thinks I'm behind a firewall and ends there.     - Messanger 7.0? Where can I download this version? My hard drive crashed and after reinstalling everything I had to download 7.5. As many other posts here indicate, it is crap. I can't connect most times. It is completely random when it does connect without me changing a thing. I am using it at work and had no problems with 7.0 on the work network. The troubleshooter shows me connected to .NET but messanger gives me the 80048820 error. When searching for this, it says my time zone is incrorrect?     - Messenger Audio set up I am running a Logitech webcam on Win XP SP2. I have bought a USB headset to replace the ear bud mic that came with the webcam. My problem is that when I run the Audio Set up wizard in MSN Messenger it does not find the headset as a selection option, therefore will not work with the headset. Consistently over the last week (almost 80% of the time) when I try to play a game with a friend, either she or I get games are not available. We'll try several times before we finally get a connection, but most times we just give up. In the past, our failure rate was reversed - only about 20% of the time we couldn't start a game. This happens at all times of the day. Is there something I can do? We're both on 4mbps internet connections with 2+ ghz computers. We are on the latest version of MSN Messenger.     - Compatibility Problem with new Messenger I tried to download and install the newest MSN Messenger. I opted for the "system check" to make sure my OS is compatible. After the scan completes, I get a message saying "...MSN Explorer detected!" The explanation states that the new messenger doesn't work well with MSN Explorer.     - MSN Crashes My sons MSN crashes consistently (always) within 15 - 20 seconds of log in. This seems to have started without reason over the last day or so. There are no error codes.     - upgrade from 6.2 to 7.5, using video forces re-boot Greetings, just upgraded to 7.5 from 6.2 (I think it was 6.2, definitely 6.x), and using video conference causes the remote end to hang, forcing a hard reset. OS version is XP SP2, not known if all updates are applied but I don't think they are. My end is fine. We had been using 6.2 for 5 or 6 months with reasonable success. Audio only worked fine, as soon as video is added it can take upto 5 minutes (but has happened at different intervals) before the remote end hangs. The remote end is in Europe, connection is 128Kb up and 256Kb down, no router. My end is in Can 800Kb up and 3000Kb down (on a good day), Dlink wireless router. The person at the other end is not really that computer savy but is able to get by. I guess my question(s) are any guess as to what to check? Are there updates that are required for this to work? This will have to be done via remote assistance, email, or phone. I have checked the web site for his web cam and have downloaded a "potential" driver update that I will send him.
