Hi Daniel,
Don't get me wrong, there's no harm in running it. Actually what appears to be going on is
you've removed Windows Messenger (which then takes away the options) and by applying that
registry entry, it's been forcibly readded.
Remote Assistance, Application Sharing and Whiteboard are all components of Windows
which -require- Windows Messenger to be present (this is the result of past history where
Windows Messenger as the only Messenger client on XP). Without Windows Messenger, these
features will not function.
As such, you'll simply need to install Windows Messenger from here:
