Suddenly this morning, I got the message that there was an upgrade available (I'm using 6.1) I downloaded it and now I get the msg (when trying to sign in) with .....0x81000301.... bla bla....     - Application Sharing I am trying to use application sharing with my dad. we are able to do both audio and video in xp with msn 6.1. I have tried to use the application sharing both behind the linksys firewall on my side and infront of it. My Dad is using black ice and has it turned off. We both get the message "application sharing waiting" below the apps and chalk board. Same problem in windows messenger. I am able to bring up and use Net Meeting and the application sharing between us. I have tried to start application sharing in msn between my laptop and my main computer both which are behind the firewall and again i get the waiting message.     - Can't log on MSN, Ins Mess or even just Hotmail I'm having a terrible problem with my MSN. Not only can I not log-in but I also can't log in separately to msn instant messaging....I can't even log on to regular hotmail.     - PPC 2003 Messenger using HTTP Hi, Does anyone have the slightest idea as to wether the Pocket PC version of MSN, (which is using MSNP8 for anyone out there that actually knows what that means) can connect through the HTTP setup? The current version, 6.1, which is using MSNP9, can be XFR'd to the HTTP server upon not being able to connect through the originally designed port of 1863. I have edited the registry to change the server that PPC MSN connects to, multiple times, and I can't get it to go through the HTTP port. So, while it looks like I've found the answer(can't be done), I'd like for someone to tell me, "oh, you can do it this way!"     - Problem sign in through HTTP proxy I've got a problem when trying to sign in either MSN messenger 6.1 or Windows messenger 5.0. I always got message "We were unable to sign you in .NET Messenger Service, possibly because of a problem with the service or with your Internet connection..." I captured the packet and found out that the packet sent out always be sent to 207.x.x.x which probably be 'messenger.hotmail.com'. It did not connect to my proxy. However, if I changed the setting from using HTTP proxy to SOCKS server, it did connect to my proxy.     - offline contacts appear green? This is helpful information if you noticed a recent change in your MSN Messanger contacts--as in the offline contacts appearing green (like online green). This problem probably showed up after just recently updating your NVIDIA Drivers.... I found this tip online at the site listed below. http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/topic.asp? I rolled back to the previous drivers and problem corrected itself.
