    - msn messenger 7 runtime error Every time I use hotmail and click from screen to screen opening emails, etc. or if I close msn messenger, I get a bunch of runtime error messages that state the following: runtime error! program: c:\program files\msn messenger\msnmsgr.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call How do I fix and stop this horrible annoyance.     - Conversation Window Freezes on a Daily Basis Since I upgraded to 7.0777, I have had the following problem approximately once a day: When I sign into msn, and try to open an IM window (either me initiating or someone else sending a message to me), the window freezes in a "squeezed" image, freezing the rest of msn with it. The only way I have been able to fix this is to do both of the following: 1) Deleting the MSN Messenger Folder in C:\Documents and Settings\*******\Application Data\Microsoft 2) Deleting the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger This is getting old; I love the new full-screen video, but is there some fix to this problem (I've browsed the groups for answer)?     - How to I remove new search button in messenger I have installed the new messenger. And in the chat window there is a search button... this is just taking up space on my small screen on this laptop. In fact so much room (if you include the advert) that its difficult to do anything else on the computer at the same time. Do you know any way to remove the new search button so that i can make the "typing" window smaller (like in the previous versions) I have tried useding the search button... but cannot think of any practical use of it... whats the point of sending links that you haven't checked?     - MSN 7.0 audio/ webcam Crash Hi, Every time I try to use Audio/ Webcam or even by clicking on Webcam Settings for MSN 7.0, it will result in an immediate crash. Both audio and webcam worked perfectly fine for me with MSN 6.2. I'm using Windows XP with SP2 installed, and I prefer the functions of MSN 7.0 to 6.2.     - Webcam Jerky in Local Mode I want to demonstrate the use of a webcam with MSN Messenger at a school tech fair this week. I will not be able to have someone at the other end, so can only do a local (off-line) demo. I thought I'd simply use the webcam settings option to at least show a picture. With my laptop (ThinkPad T22 with 40 GB hard drive and 512 MB of memory) the picture, using the webcam settings option, is giving a frame refresh rate is 6-15 seconds! With a similarly equipped desktop (40 GB hard drive and 512 MB of memory), the motion is perfectly smooth and continuous. The laptop is running Windows XP Professional SP2 and MSN Messenger 6.2.0205. The desktop is running Windows 2000 SP4 and MSN Messenger 6.2.0205. I notice that where the W2K system shows Tools...Audio Tuning Wizard, the XP system shows Tools...Audio/Video Tuning Wizard, and shows in the first screen a video window. The CPU usage on the laptop varies between 2-25% and seems to fluctuate slightly as I wave my hand in front of the camera. The CPU usage on the esktop (with continuous video motion) is somewhat higher. Finally, the behavior is identical whether I'm using an Intel CS780 Pocket PC Camera or a Logitech QuickCam Express.     - Cannot block on MSN 7 Every time I try to block people on the new MSN or change my allow/block settings, nothing happens and it tells me something along the lines of "so and so cannot be blocked at this time" when I close MSN.     - MSN Messenger freezes on Full Screen. I love the new MSN Messenger 7.0, but I'm having one problem. I go in to video conversation and then click on full-screen. When I do this, the whole screen goes black and there is an image of the person I'm talking to but it's no bigger than it was before. There's also a picture of me in the lower right-hand corner. Anyway, right after this, the screen freezes. I can still hear the person I'm talking to but the video (on our end only) is frozen totally. I do have a bit of an older computer running on windows ME. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the resolution or something. Anyway, any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Great job on this new version though, you guys. Nice job.     - msn 7.0 "msnmsgr.exe - entry point not found" Whenever I try to sign onto my msn 7.0 I get the msg with the title "msnmsgr. exe - Entry Point Not Found" with the message: "The procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL" This always happens when I try to sign onto Msn 7.0, but I can sign onto Windows Messenger no problem.     - Disable Hyperlinks Is there a way to disable hyperlinks in the MSN Messenger Conversation window?     - MSN 7 .777 Crashes on first open Hi Whenever I boot my PC, the first time I start MSN and sign in, it always freezes. Once I end task and start again, it's fine. Any ideas? It is becoming annoying because if somebody messages me on the first login, I never see their message or who its from.     - The following message could not be delivered to all recipients Using MSN Messenger 7.0.0777 Since yesterday have been getting "The following message could not be delivered to all recipients" when trying to send messages about 80% of the time. I wasn't getting this earlier. Any ideas what's up with this? I'm connected to the net through a cable modem, via a Linksys router.     - Instant messenger problems I keep getting this problem without doing anything. HEADING: MSNBhopump: iexplore.exe - Application Error BODY: The instruction at '0x63fd3dda" referenced memory at "0x02383290" This memory could not be "read". comment: I ran a memory test which showed no problems with my computer memory, but I wanted to upgrade my memory anyway and replaced the two 245mb strips with 512mb strips.     - will there be another msn 7 version coming out will there be another msn 7 version coming out because it takes up to 4 minuites for me to sign into msn and keeps crashing loads of times and has loads of lag since the prank 814 came out it seemed to fix lag , long signing in and gives scrolling through contacts a lot smoother but does have some glitches and it is better than 777 could'nt you guys at microsoft go and use 814 and change some files from it and make a new msn out of it then it will be a lot better. My messenger crashes if I try to do ANYTHING besides send simple messeges to people, and that doesn't always work, either.     - MSN Messenger woes :( I can't find the MSN Messenger newsgroup forums. Anyway, I was just drawing a square wave to show another collegue (revision for exam the next day). When I sent the picture, the picture was moving. One of the vertical lines was just moving left and right - like an animated gif image. How did this happen? Is this a bug?     - Unable to access Hotmail through messenger I downloaded MSN messenger 7 last week and have had no troubles with it until a few days ago. I can no longer access my Hotmail account through the MSN Messenger interface. No new windows open if I try to read my mail or try to compose new mail through it.     - Another signin fix - Winfax conflict I have found that MSN Messenger (and MSAS) both trip over the 2 Winfax Pro "startup" applications and the Winfax Pro "service". Disable the Winfax startup applications using msconfig. Go to start | Run, type in "msconfig". Click on "services". Find the two entries for Winfax Pro. Disable them both. Click "apply" then OK. Then right click on My Computer. Go to manage | Services and Applications | Services. Scroll for Winfax Pro. Double click on Winfax Pro. Stop the service. Then set the service for manual start. Click "apply", then ok. Close Computer Management. Reboot! Winfax Pro is still totally usable upon demand. It just will not automatically answer the phone to receive faxes. If you know you are going to receive a fax, start the Winfax Pro program and let it run until the fax has been received. Then you can shut down the program along with the Winfax controller.     - MSN 7.0 Halts after logging in. I get the same problem too. It was intially able to load, and I enjoyed using this version more than 6.2. But after a few days, it crashes immediately upon logging in. I have tried removing and re-installing several times. I have also disabled my anti-virus software. This problem occurs every now and then, so sometimes I am able to log in, at other times it just crashes. Also, I am not able to receive certain types of files, such as mp3 files.     - I can't login with my msn account Hi, if anyone can help me it would be great. I've been using a yahoo email account for a while to use MSN, and it's been working fine as of this morning. Now I can't even log in with that one account, and I don't get an error message either. It just gets stuck in the "signing in..." part.     - Doesn't send files Hi, I've got the following problem. My messenger 7.0 won't receive or send different files like exe or jpg. It states that the files are unsafe and could be infected with a virus (which would be a normal warning but the files don't have a virus). I use McAfee do check all the files I recieve. But here is the tricky part, from some I can accept or send files, for others they are just denied.
