Don't laugh. This is one of the most trusted indicators of relative wealth
when comparing two disparate economies. Forget about "how many litres of oil
can I buy for a days salary?". Or how many cigarettes, both of which are too
subject to local taxation. Also, even staples like loaves of bread aren't
uniform enough in construction and composition to make a valid comparison.
Nope, the best indicator so far is "how many minutes must I work to buy a
(local) Big Mac meal?". That'll tell you relatively who's better off.

(Hint: The one who's better off is the one who has the money but doesn't
spend it on the hamburger)

I'd apply at Microsoft, but I don't think there's much call for a VB 6.0
programmer who uses Pervasive, and not even SQL, the really old stuff: 6.15
I program a mean PDS 7.1, too. Do they have any need for Crystal Report
programmers?

Aw, heck... that garbage man job is starting to look better.

Seriously... can I use you for a reference?

We've known each other for years, right?

Ben, I am making you my official career consultant. you obviously have

Working at an RV dealership, there is no time for a wife. Come on, get
with the program - you would be the Executive Assistant to the CEO of
Lazydays RV Supercenter. If working at Lazydays does not look good on a
resume, I am not sure what would.

I've actually gotten a few decent job leads through Monster over the
years - nothing that panned out to an actual job - for that, nothing
beats knowing someone who knows someone...

But I did just land a contractual gig last week due to a rep who found
my resume on Monster - working on a test for a company that does IT
candidate interview screening. They're paying me $599 for one day's
work. That's a hell of a lot of Big Macs.

You can take, but you will be so busy at the RV dealership that she will
fall in love with the local golf pro, and even though he is an alcoholic
that insessently talks about how he could have made it on the PGA, she
will take to him because he is always around.

So there you will be, wearing a short-sleve shirt with a tie that is a
little too short and does not match and she hanging out with Mr.
