I'm having trouble figuring out what I need to learn to become MCSE certified.
I looked at the Microsoft site:

They're talking about core, elective and upgrade exams.
I have no previous certifications, so what parts do I need to study te
become an MCSE? Only the Core exams?
Core exams containing:
Networking system: 70-290,70-291,70-293,70-294
Client OS: 70-270 or 70-210
Design: 70-298 or 70-297
If I'm right, what are the 'elective' exams all about...

left instead of a right), I have taken great pains and incurred much
personal debt to provide these luxuries for the MCNGP. But I don't do
this to curry favor, no-no, I'm just a really great guy, that's all.
This second mode of automotive transport will be the "East Coast"
Ferrari. Kat (who has been scandalously absent from the esteemed froup
since receiving said Ferrari) is the present possessor of the first "West
Coast" Ferrari. That one's red.
The new East Coast Ferrari was handed over with much pomp and
circumstance at the recent MCNGP B-B-Q held in Toranna, Ontar-e-air-e-
airio. While the invites went out far and wide to all who could attend, I
was more than startled when both of us showed up. In truth, having
divested most of my vast wealth to acquire the first Ferrari, I was
slightly cash strapped and the Ferrari will require a little assembly. I
have great faith in it's re-assembly however. Oh, and this one's yellow.
Therefore, let the bells ring out and joy be proclaimed this day that the
MCNGP now have another Ferrari and the current possessor of said Ferrari

Passed 70-292
Passed 70-292 exam today on my first attempt.
Some posters have said that this exam is difficult but as always if you do
all the prep work up front, there is no reason why an MCSE 2000 shouldn't
pass this exam first time.
When preparing for my MCSE 2000 exams I tended to use one book, transcender
and the occasional additional resource.
To prepare for this exam, and bearing in mind that this exam covers topics
covered in 70-290/291, etc I have relied heavily on additional resources such
as technet, webcasts and plenty of hands on practice.
In all honesty, I have to say that the books written for this exam are all
poor quality and so I would definetly not recomend relying soley an a single
book - they just don't cover the topics thoroughly enough.
Good luck to anyone else about to take this exam. Onwards and upwards -

Upgrading cert- resources
I am in the process of upgrading my old MCSE- NT 4 certification to
MCSE Windows Server 2003. I was wondering what internet resources
people use to prepare for the exams now. I remember there were some
message boards and sites I used back in 1999 but I do not remember any
of them. I am not interestedin any sort of classes or online seminars
as I have plenty of experience, I just want to prepare for the exams.
