As im still learning i was hoping someone in here could
help with with this problem (and yes i have done a couple
of serches on it with no joy). I'm working in a domain
with about 200 clients and about 330 users. Must do not
have internet access, but i have the problem that people
require access to most pc on the network. The company wont
by any 3rd party software to control internet use. Well
problem is that i need to stop people accessing 4 pcs
exept for about 8 people. is there a way i can set it to
only allow log in from these people or mybe everyone can
login still but only those 8 can access interent. Thanks
for you help

ahhhhh, In English now please?

are you looking for a, well, proxy server? Although you corp wont go for
the extra software, sounds like this is it to me but I am still trying to
run your original post through babbelfish (I wish I knew which language
it was origianly in). If you are asking if you can restrict access to 4
computers in your domain so that only certain users can log on, um, yup.
if your question is only 8 people should be able to access 4 internet
sites, um yeah that's doable too. I'm just not sure what the fscking
question is.

let's try your post in pig latin:

I assume that this is by design?

Do you mean that they log on to different machines? That they connect
to other machines? Are you talking about workstations, servers or
both?

Well, there's your first problem. Do you have a firewall?

Sure, but first you have to specify what operating system they're
running, because it will depend on that.
