Baddie of the Year !!!
So who was the Biggest, Baddest, Evil-est villain of the year 2006 ??
Well, a poll was conducted by AP amongst Americans and here are the
results :
Bush beats Osama hands down ! Bush's supporters can finally rejoice
that Bush has beaten Osama in atleast one thing. And guess what !
Saddam (poor devil) comes third.

MOC code and Exam code
Hi,
Can you please mail me the MOC code and the exam code which microsoft is
going to implement in its MCSE curriculum. Tag: juniper exams ? Tag: 208598
Does anyone expect...
... MS to put out an equivalent exam for the 70-270 in the Vista format?
I'm at the point I should take a client OS exam, but would prefer to get
a vista cert since it is on the cusp of release.
The reason I ask is I have taken the 70-290 & 70-291 already, and am
planning to get the MCSA on my way to MCSE.
If waiting for a new exam will behoove me, what are your suggestions for
an elective exam to work on in the mean time, security+? a+? ideas? I am
eager to get moving!

MI5 Persecution: Financial Times
Financial Times 17/Sept/1999
David Bowen performed a Web Site Inspection in the Financial Times, in which he compared the "Open Government" approach
of the American intelligence community with the closed world of British spookdom. The second paragraph mentions this site.
It appears that there are very few sites with material information on SS/SIS, which leads to this site's descriptions of
those agencies being frequently linked to by other persons' pages. Perhaps there is an irony that American agencies which
have much more capability appear to be more transparent than British agencies which have much less.

MI5 Persecution: why won't the British police do their job and put a stop to it?
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
-= why won't the British police do their job and put a stop to it? -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The British police obviously do know what is taking place. Besides my
interpretations of what individual officers have said which forces that
conclusion, it would be inconceivable for them to be unaware of something
on this scale.
If they know, then they will know that the abusers have broken laws in the
UK and abroad. Recently the UK introduced laws against electronic spying
which carry a penalty of several years jail if caught. If the police know
illegal harassment is taking place, and do nothing about it, then they are
failing in their responsibilities.
Last Easter (1995) I went into the local police station in London and spoke
to an officer about the harassment against me. But I couldn't provide
tangible evidence; what people said, in many cases years ago, is beyond
proof, and without something to support my statements I cannot expect a
police officer to take the complaint seriously.
The current situation with regard to the police is not one which allows a
breakthrough in dealing with the problem. On the one hand, most individual
officers at a local police station may not know about the ongoing assaults,
so a complaint at that level will not yield results. Yet the police as an
organisation do know of the harassment, and they must be aware that a
complaint has been made at a police station. So it is clearly their duty to
take preventative action against the continuing molestation, but because
the criminals are operating on behalf of a state agency, the police are not
carrying out their duty.

opinions on TrainSignal cbts?
just looking for opinions on any of TrainSignal's cbts... good? bad? soso?
I just finished their DNS one and thought it was pretty good. Certianly not
enough to use as sole material for passing test (not intended for that
anyway) but I was impressed. I am thinking about getting their package deal
with *all* the windows cbt's and want to see what other people's experiences
have been with them...
to be clear as possible here, I know and am not looking for these to be a
one stop shop to pass a test. Several sources of study are required and of
course experience... what I am hoping to get are opinions from people who
have used any TrainSignal cbts on their:
1) *accuracy of information*
2) level of detail covered for subject matter
3) instructors effectiveness (clarity in communication, explaining
complicated things in easier to understand terms, good instruction etc..) Tag: juniper exams ? Tag: 208518

OT: Not to be outdone
From the historical record:
Dec 9 2003 4:32 pm
Twas the night before Test Day, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, except for a mouse;
The Internet sites were being searched with great care,
In hopes that Answers soon would be there;
The candidates then nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of 900's danced in their heads;
The braindump sites had all promised a pass,
They were sure to land a job and get lots of cash,
When out of the newsgroups there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to the monitor to see what was the matter.
Away to the keyboard I flew like a flash,
Opened outlook express (hoping it didn't crash).
I looked at the newsgroup, at each little line
Everything seemed calm, really just fine
When, what to my watering eyes should appear,
But a thousand new posts, I almost dropped my new beer,
It was a little old man, so mean and so bold,
I knew in a moment it was the one foretold,
More rapid than cable his legions they came,
And he rallied, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, Consultant! now, Frisbee! Now, Kendal and Brat!
On, Politician Spock! on Jtyc! On, Ken and all that!
To the top of the newsgroup! Head my momentous call!
Now type away! Type away! Type away all!"
Like flames that leap in a raging wild fire west,
When they meet with a dumper they burned him in jest,
So up to the server the mockery flew,
You'll not get certified and our respect too.
The torrents continued all though the night
And then, in a twinkling, I saw a refreshing sight
The changing of minds, though only a few.
There is still much more work to do.
He sprang to his keyboard, to his team gave a cheer,
And away they all flew to go get a beer.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"HAPPY TESTING TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!" Tag: juniper exams ? Tag: 208421

OT: An MCNGP Christmas
I originally posted this on December 24, 2002, so most of you may not
recognize/remember some of the names... So I'm not Dylan Thomas... sue me.
Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the list
Not an MCNGP was posting
Most of them were pissed.
Network Guru in his nightgown
and Steve-O in his pumps
Had just settled down
to share some brain dumps
When suddenly on the list
there arose such a clatter
that we all logged at once
to see what was the matter.
We scanned the new posts
no OT's found for a gamer
Mostly trolls from Tom,
our latest Lamer.
When what to our wondering eyes
did we see
But Consultant®
and several other MCNGP
"I'm in a good mood,
so I'll not start a flame."
And then he began chanting,
calling them all by name.
"On Keyboard, On Mean,
On Frisbee and Sue"
"That's NOT what I meant, Frisbee,
You know what to do!"
"On Rob, On Glenn,
and Diamond Jim"
"Can't find Batman,
anyone seen him?"
"On Angry, On MCSENada,
and Sweet Michelle"
"She's a babe, for sure...
Can't you tell?"
"On Don Julio, come on now,
On JYTC"
"On Laura, the animatron,
our secret fantasy."
"To the top of the list,
reply to that post"
"Let's see who can quote
obscure movies the most"
The whole group together
can be quite a sight
Merry Christmas to all
We're too tired to fight.

MCSE / How do you do it?!?!?
Hi All,
I'm about 1 month in to starting my MCSE 2003. I've had the Microsoft
Press books for a year or so now but I've only really just had the time
to look at them (I've been busy). I'm starting with the 70-290 exam
and so far I've read the book and I've also been studying the 'TestOut'
module for the 70-290 exam. I'm also using 'Transcenders' to check my
progress and go back and study any bits I feel I need work on. I guess
the point of my post is just to see what other people are doing in
terms of studying. I think between the Microsoft Press books,
'Testout' and 'Trancenders' I should have the exam covered. I really
think reading the book cover to cover is very important though.
Watching the 'TestOut' video is really good and it re-enforces that
knowledge but you actually need to put the effort in to reading the
book as opposed to just sitting down, watching a video and then doing
some simple practical bits.
I've got about 8 years IT experience behind me and I'm 25 (just in case
anyone was wondering) - oh and I'm also using VMWARE to set up test
domains etc etc. Without VMWARE I'd be really REALLY struggling!!
Look forward to hearing how other people are doing.

Give Back to IT Community (Help)
Guys,
I want to start giving back to the IT Community, and start helping
out. I would appreciate if you guys could answer some of the below
questions.
1. How do you guys read your newsgroup subscriptions? Software or
Via Web? List which do you use.
2. Which web portals do you recommend to use to read/respond to posts
& blogs during lunch/break at work? (At work I cant access newsgroups
or blogs via a program or nntp)
3. What program do you guys use for managing your blog subscriptions?
Software or Via Web? List which do you use.
4. How do you keep track of all the messages you've posted or replied
too, this way you can follow-up on it, in case someone responds?
5. Do you guys provide your email address in your posts? If you do,
how do you handle protecting yourself from spam? If you dont, how
does anyone ever get a hold of you, if needed?
6. Out of curiosity, what email provider do you use, and what program
do you use to read your emails?
7. What do I need to do to make sure I get credit for giving back to
the community, this way I can work my way up to an MVP?
8. How else can I become part of the IT community and start giving
back and networking? Any Ideas?
I appreciate you taking your time to respond to my posts, and I plan
to begin giving back to the IT community, and hope we can become
friends.
