Exam Broken - Anyone Else Seen This?
I just took my 70-291. One of the questions was a simulation. i won't go
into any detail due to the NDA, but the simulation didn't work. It asked me
to do something and the only way to do it was to use an Administrative Tool.
I tried going to Start-->Programs-->Administrative Tools-->"utility" and
also going through Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->"utility". The
utility would never come up. I tried over a dozen times. I checked outside
references after the exam and sure enough, the way I tried is DEFINITELY the
way to do it, but obviously, the simulation didn't work correctly.
Unfortunately, I failed the exam by 24 points. Is there anything I can do
about this?? I definitely missed other questions, so my score was close, but
I feel I would have passed if the simulation had worked. I informed the
testing center and they told me it had happened before and they would inform
Microsoft, but that is all they could do.

WSUS 3.0 Question
I have just implemented a WSUS 3.0 server and had a few questions relating to
Group policy more of less. All users are administrators of their own PCs,
the GP for the domain is configured to look at the WSUS server for updates.
I have noticed that all users can edit their own local GP policy, if they
disable the option in their own local GP will it effect what the domain GP is
set to? Also I notice that my users are able to go to the Windows update
website and get updates, like XP sp3, that I didnt approve on the WSUS
server? Can i disable users from going to the update site? Or is there a
setting I am missing. I am brand new to WSUS so be gentle.

Recommended Salary??
just wanted to get some feed back. I'm seeing a whole of jobs requesting MCSE
and only paying like 12-14 bucks an hour. I'm quite sure this employers do
not know what they are looking for especially when they are offering the same
pay for people with university degrees.
What do you guys think because I think this is getting out of hand doing all

Failed 70-297 - Need Advice
Hi
I've just taken 70-297 today for the 2nd time and failed with a 675 score. I
think maybe 1 or 2 answers in it :(
Is there any advice from people that have either passed or struggled their
way through it?
I seem to struggle with time as much as anything and working through the
length of the the case study's and extracting the information. The weakest
area on both attempts has been "Creating the Conceptual Design by Gathering
and Analyzing Business and Technical Requirements" which I think perhaps
highlights this.
Haven't had any problems with the previous 5 exams I've taken so finding it
pretty stressful to have hit a wall with this one!
The study material I've used to prepare has been the Sybex 70-297 Study
Guide and the transcender exam sims which I've actually found to be a lot
shorter and easier than the real thing.
Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated.....

Any good 70-536 mock exams out there?
I majored in Computer Science at my university and have an advanced
degree in it, and I have been doing web development for quite a few
years in C#.
I would like to build up my credit through certification. For now, my
planned path is as follows:
MCTS (70-536, 70-528) --> MCPD (70-547).
I have the MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit by Northrup, Wildermuth et
al. Will this kit suffice for 70-536 and 70-528?
I am interested in finding some mock exams. I've just tried one of
actual-exams.com. It is awful. It has only 2 to 3 test questions per
chapter and the sample code they provide has way too many errors or
typos. I cannot believe that they are selling it.

hi there i know it might not be the right forum to post such question but i
really need some help and quick :S i have a squid proxy installed on a red
hat server and i also have dansguardian software (blocks certain sites). now
to the problem...i cannot access a particular site which prompts a username
and password upon connecting to it...its giving me authentication error just
as like i have entered a bad username and password...but i did not it gave
it immediately and the dialog did not appear!! i tried connecting directly
to the internet without using this proxy server and it worked like a charm
so problem is not related with browser or software but rather some sort of
config on squid proxy or dansguardian probably. can anyone help me out

MISSING FILES
Hi;
I am trying to get familar with Windows Server 2003 and just installed a
trial version on my system. The installation completed, but there were a
number of files the Setup could not read when installing files. The missing
files are: cmnicfg.xml, ipcfg.xml, csinfo.xml, potscfg.xml,
pppcfg.xml,xmlp_bec.xdr, xmlp_beu.xdr, xmlp_ecp.xdr, xmlp_fcd.xdr,
xmlp_hlp.xdr, xmlp_mas.xdr, and xmlp_wiz.xdr. I'm assuming their absence in
the configuration will cause problems periodically. Where could I find these
files? Also where in the directory system would I place them and what would
be the best way to accomplish the task of getting them back into the program?

I earned my MCSA2003 credential through the exam 70-292 (upgrade path). From

I should take
1. two Core Exam:Networking System exams
2. one Core Exam:Design exam
3. Elective exam
But I have taken the Windows 2000 design exam 70-219 and 70-221; and
elective exam 70-228. So therefore I should only take the exam 70-292 and
70-294 core exam? Any advise?
