Hi,

I'm currently working out my flow chart plan for what certs I need to do.
I've realised that the MCDST is an elective for the MCSA, so if I finish
70-291 I'll have my MCSA, however, it doesn't appear to be an elective for
MCSE. Is this correct?

Also, ISA 2004 is an elective for the MCSA, but doesn't seem to be for the
MCSE. Is this an oversight, considering that ISA 2000 is an elective for both
the MCSA and the MCSE ?

I am currently studying for mcse 2003 windows server. i have checked the
requirements. i need one operating system, 4 networking and 1 design exams
to do which is 6 in total. i don't understand the elective exam. i am
assuming i need to do 6 exams to get mcse 2003 windows server and not bother
with the elective exam. is that correct. and if i did 2 exchange exams from
electives i would get messaging 2003 title along with windows server 2003.

Nope, you're wrong. MCSE is attained with SEVEN exams. You do need the
elective (you elect which one to choose NOT elect whether to do it or not!).

Yup, that's correct (about the MCDST being an elective for MCSA but not
MCSE). I see you've answered your other question...
