    - Examsaver review My first step before I take any test is to read the full copy of the appropriate ExamCram 2 book. These books provide alot of raw knowledge without any context. So.. For example.. "Here is the User Manager" or "the command line options for the bcp utility are..". Of course there is not a single question on the exam that asks you to identify the User Manager window or "here are a bunch of options.. what command are they associated with.". The books provides an overview so you know what you need more help with if you're not sure. Once you have read over the material and did more extensive investigation (so you actually know what your talking about without just passing the exam) then you could use Exam Saver to test topics that you need to investigate further. Now.. After ExamSaver you would still need to buy something like Transcender(hardest), TestKing(hard) or Pass4Sure(hard) to pass the actual test. Exam Savers WILL ONLY TEST YOU ON THE MATERIAL and WILL NOT prepare you for the exam. If you depend solely on ExamSaver as a testing material for anything other than the theories and material covered by the certification test then, in my humble experience, you will fail the certification exam.     - 70-297 :-) Take that, 70-297, and that, and that... Well if you've not already guessed. I passed 70-297. No bootcamps, no braindumps, just good old fashioned study. It may have taken a while for this one to come, but in a funny kind of way, I'm glad I failed this one a few times, because it proved that I wasn't ready. For anyone else contemplating taking this exam, I'd recommend giving yourself twice as long to study and prepare for this one, than you normally would. My mistake was to try and rush it, I thought I could complete it quickly, but I couldn't. Now I can say I'm an MCSE (not much in the big scheme of things!) but the personal challenge and achievement were my motivating factors. Thanks to everyone in this group who provided help, guidance and humour. Your comments were appreciated.     - 70-297 :-( 70-297. To look at, it's not much. Just a series of numbers. No meaning, nothing really! 70-297, there I said it again. 70-297 <twitches slightly>. 70-29 bloody 7. This exam is driving me insane (not to mention the expense, which I can't afford). As you can guess, 70-297 eluded me again today. Is there a worldwide quota on the number of passes that M$ allocate for this exam, and if so, has it been reached? I've now added Sybex's 70-297 study guide (by Brad Price) to my ever growing list of prep materials aquired for this exam. This book covered new ground, material that was not covered (in depth) by the M$ material, and in general I thought, yeah, a good read, with good material. So, to recap, thats 2282, Self-paced training kit, Self-test, Measure-Up, Sybex 70-297, years of practical (real world) experience and no 70-297 exam pass. So the quest goes on! I'm starting to ask myself though, is it worth the effort. Which I know is negative talk, but hey, I'm coming to the conclusion that this exam is more about persistence than anything technical or design related. 70-297, 70-297, 70-297 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, sorry just needed to get the primal scream out of my system.
