    - Please help with 70-228 I have failed this exam twice, I am obviously having trouble. I scored 679 on the second go around, but I need some help on clearing up some issues. Thanks in advance. 1.. There was a question about performance. A server had 4 CPUs and 1GB of RAM. The CPU % was at 90, the Available MB was 800MB, and a % privileged time was at 20%. The problem was that people logging in to their computer were very slow and some times erring out. Some of the answer I remember are. 1.. Increase RAM. (I don't think so because the available was 800MB) 2.. Increase Virtual Memory. 3.. Set SQL to use CPUs 0,1, & 2. 4.. Set SQL to use CPUs 1,2,3. 2.. If the Windows App log is full, will SQL still send out NET SEND requests? 3.. When SQL is set to use C2 auditing, does it prevent SQL from operating if Auditing is unavailable? 4.. When should one create SPs with the WITH RECOMPILE option? 5.. SQL 7.0 was using NWLINK, MULTIPROTOCOL, TCP/IP, and NAMEDPIPES.     - 70-290 first or 70-291 first? Hi there, I'm thinking to take 70-291 first then 70-290 later because network subjects for 70-291 seems more fun to study. Do you think is this inefficient order to study or it doesn't matter? As far as I see the objective, both doesn't seem to be overlapped and very different. I think 70-290 covers Active Directory (am I correct?) so it seems better to study TCP/ID and DNS first. However, I'm still wondering if 70-290 might be the base of 70-291. Another concern is, installation subject like unattended installation is not included in the objective but will 70-290 cover installation?     - Holler! Hey do I have to: (a) be an American (b) be an MCSE to post and chat to your crazy kids? I'm in the UK, twelve years experience in IT (all I've ever done). Decided this year that after ten years in the same job, I'd like a move, and that certificates would help me. Of course, I'm also up for self-improvement and all that. Passed three MCP's since January, having to fund everything myself so not been on any courses. Just reading books and my experiences have got me through. Next one up is 70-294. Once I've got the MCSE, I'll be hopefully looking at doing some Citrix certs. My first question, should you choose to accept me, is this: Once I've passed all the relevant MCP's, does the 'system' automatically make me an MCSE?     - CompTIA Hello all, I passed Security+ on the 12th of this month. The cert was sent by comptia on the 19th to MS however, it is not showing up on transcript. I emailed mcphelp, each time i am asked to send mcp number, comptia number, registration number, blood type, pets name, first childs left testicle ect... I send the information and get another canned reply of send us bla bla bla. I have called twice to the MCP support center to a partially english speaking rep who told me to call comptia. CompTIA stated they sent the info to MS so it is in their hands now. Who do i have to bribe or what do i need to do to get this on my transcript.     - What Exam? Hi, I've completed the MCSA in 2000 and I'm short exam 70-216 to achieve the MCSE in 2000. Could somebody suggest what exam I could take in place of 70-216 in the Windows 2003 track that would give me the MCSE 2000 - the reason being it seems a bit of a waste doing 216 as its a 2000 exam.
