    - MSCE Training Providers Hello, I am based in the UK and have worked in the IT industry for 15 years primarily in a Microsoft environment. I have a vast array of experience in many different areas but since I finished my last contract 3 months ago I have found it very difficult to get a job. Most of the jobs I am seeing advertised are requesting some form of professional certificate, which I don't, so I fear I am not even making it through the vetting process of the recruiters. So I have been looking around and seriously thinking about settling into a career path, preferably in a training capacity. I started to look at the MCT certificate since the last couple of contracts I have done have been in a training role and it is a role I enjoy. I am planning on doing an MCSE, Microsoft Office Master and then applying for my MCT so I signed up today with a training provider called SkillsTrain (here in the UK) who are associated with Scheidegger. I was wondering if anyone has any information on this provider or whether anyone knows if there is someone I can contact at Microsoft UK, who could conirm whether or not this company are legitimate and a recognised microsoft training provider. I do have the AskPartner hotline number for Microsoft here in the UK as published on the back of the Microsoft Partner (Summer 2006) magazine but I was wondering if anyone knows of a more suitable number/contact?     - OT: GO OILERS GO Again I say, go Oilers go... For those of you who haven't been paying attention...the Oilers finnished in 8th spot this regular season. Knocked off the #1 team in the league (detroit red wings) and continued to beat the sharks, and the ducks. Then they lost their starting goalie in game 1 against the carolina huricanes....came up with a big loss that night and lost game 2... 5-0. Finnally won a game, but then went on to lose the next game...making it a 3-1 series lead for the canes ( best of 7). Hurricanes then lost in overtime, to make it a 3-2 lead for the canes, then the oilers beat them 4-0...the series is now tied at 3. Whoever wins tonight, gets the cup! An 8th place team has never made it to the finals...a team being down 3 games to 1, has only ever won the cup once... And to top it off, The oilers have the best fans in the league. After the Canadian anthem was boohed in the states by american fans ( stupid americans didn't realize most of their team is Canadian) The game came back to Edmonton, and the fans hear SANG and cheered for the american anthem... Here it goes: By default DHCP performs dynamic update of A resource record for post 2000 clients. Now, a pre 2000 client is upgraded to, say, xp...For DHCP to continue perform update of the A record the DHCP must be added to the DnsUpdateProxy group because this group don't record ownership for the records, thus for DHCP in this group, there won't be serure update of the A. It is therefore not wise to let DHCP and D.Controller resides on one box because then, records use by the netlogon service would be unsecure now...please correct me i'm wrong. On the second partition of the machine I intended to stick a Linux distro and so set about downloading the DVD ISO for Fedora Core 5. On return from a lovely meal, I went to check that the download was complete, only to find the machine had powered down into standby. I hate autostart applications, if I want an application to launch; I will launch it. But seriously, Microsoft should really review the power management stuff. I hope vista fixed this. But I get the impression that it is even *more* automagic. I'm yet to find out, because I don't have a MSDN subscription, nobody invited me, and I don't believe in pirates. Hi,

I've completed the MCSA in 2000 and I'm short exam 70-216 to achieve
the MCSE in 2000. Could somebody suggest what exam I could take in
place of 70-216 in the Windows 2003 track that would give me the MCSE
2000 - the reason being it seems a bit of a waste doing 216 as its a
2000 exam.

After this I intend doing the Win2k3 MCSE upgrade exam.

It's not really a waste because you can then take the 2 upgrade exams for 03
