Upgrad MCSE 2000 to 2003

Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before.

I have passed exam 70-292 to upgrad MCSA 2000 t0 2003
I toke the exam 70-296 to upgrad MCSE 2000 t0 2003 i didnt pass it
can i take it again , even after 31 march 2008 ,if i can after how many days ?

what i mean is 31 march 2008 is the last time for new 70-296 exam taker only
or for second shot taker also ?

There is some info in these NGs about this deadline is extended, but I've
not seen any info directly from Microsoft confirming this except of
Australia.
However, you can also take 293+294 instead of 296 to complete your upgrade
(after discontinue of 296)..

Deadline is extended until May.
I called Microsoft myself on March 29 2008 asking about exparation of
70-296.
Microsoft rep told that deadline in extended until May, I forgot what date.

On Australian learning site,
http://www.microsoft.com/australia/learning/default.mspx, it's stated to be
"Australia only deadline extended to May 24th"
I've still not seen any official information from Microsoft confirming the
extending offer to be worldwide.
