It makes ME feel better knowing that someone with a worthless cert without
the experience to back it up isn't taking a job away from someone who has
worked their way up the career ladder and studied long and hard for their
certs.

Certifications are intended to verify the experience you have, and are not a
passport to a cushy job in IT. The sector is generally hard to break into.
You need to concentrate on looking for an entry-level/trainee position to
get yourself some valuable experience. This might be pretty badly paid to
start with; you may even need to consider volunteering your services. Only
then can you start to slowly climb the career ladder and earn your MCSE.

I'm afraid you won't get much sympathy from this newsgroup.
