As Frisbee® once said in microsoft.public.cert.exam.mcse

I think it was determined that the "Mount Ararat" location
was the result of a mistranslation of the original scripture.

A similar flood story is found in many of that areas religions
and writings, the Flood story is most likely a re-telling
of an even older event, perhaps when the Mediterranean Sea was
flooded by the Atlantic.

In any case, I'm sure it's George Bush's fault.

I believe it's the flooding of the Black Sea from the Mediterranean. There
was a show on the History channel about it.

landed up in present day Iran ?
